BALSAMIC SLOW COOKED STEWED BEEF
Sometimes you just can’t pass up on a good deal.
I often find stewing beef at my local grocery store for 50% off. My sister (who is a trained chef) always makes fun of me when I simply stir fry it on high heat for a fast, high protein meal. What? It’s totally fine. Maybe a little chewy but whatever.
Anyway, I set out on a mission to use stewing beef as intended: slow cooked.
This recipe is a must!
I promise you, you will never fast-fry stew beef again! (…maybe that’s just my thing?).
In regards to vegetables to serve with this dish, I’d prefer them cooked outside of the slow cooker, as I personally do not like the mushy consistency of slow cooked vegetables. That’s just me.
I have tired adding an entire cubed rutabaga to the slow cooker at the same time as the beef. It turned out great! It’s likely my favourite added vegetable option, as it is a very hard vegetable to begin with, so it kept its shape, consistency and flavour just the way I like it.
Pictured here, I typically serve this dish with mashed potatoes made on the stove top.

So, there’s good news, and there’s bad news: The Balsamic Slow Cooked Stewed Beef recipe was just too good to be floating around the internet.
This drool-worthy recipe is now featured in the Meat & Seafood Edition of my Paleo E-Cookbook Series available for purchase. I promise, it will not disappoint!
