Oakley Progression Sessions – Tremblant 2013

Warm-up yoga led by Dominique Vallee (Canadian Olympian – ya, rad, right?!), an Oakley goggle building workshop (choose your own frame, lenses and strap – what what?!), a bag full of swag, tree shredding with Marie-France Roy, a private park (no boys allowed!), and a well deserved apres with the radest crew of chicks. Oakley Progression Sessions is worth checking out if you are a female, intermediate skier or snowboarder looking to improve your park riding skills.

It has been a few weeks since my experience at OPS, and with time to reflect, I would have to say the highlight of my trip was tailing (or attempting to) Marie-France Roy through the trees. It was then, that it was obvious, that I was in fact riding with one of the most talented female snowboarders of all time. This chick can shred. Like a snake through grass, no feature stopped her smooth, sleek line. Spinning off natural lips, slashing wind drifts with style, and the odd stump tap, had me in absolute awe, as I focused to keep up.

Oakley Progression Sessions

I guess I am not the only one who thinks MFR is worth paying attention to. Oakley and MFR teamed up to design this badass (and functional) shred ready jacket and pant system.
