THIS RECIPE IS GLUTEN-FREE & PALEO.
Chocolate Peppermint Protein Shake
I’m a strong believer in drinking a protein shake within an hour following a strenuous strength workout.
For me, if I don’t drink a protein shake and choose to eat a meal instead, I’ll end up over eating consuming the same amount of calories by 10:30 a.m. as most do by bedtime.
The leftovers from last nights dinner I intended to eat for lunch, somehow end up demolished in one ravenous sitting, typically cold, straight out of the fridge spooning it from the container I stored it in.
By using 1 scoop of Vega Sport Protein (my personal favourite) in a shake or smoothie, I feel good knowing I’m replenishing my worked muscles with the goods, the stuff sport professionals are always drilling into our brains.
Here’s what you’ll get with 1 scoop of Vega Sport Protein:
- 30g plant-based protein
- 6g BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) that help support recovery
- 25% of my required daily intake of Iron
- 1 billion CFUs probiotics (bacillus coagulans)
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
