Orange Ginger Greensicle Smoothie
(Gluten-Free)
To tell you the truth, smoothies aren’t really my thing, however, I do see a time and place for them. In my case, a solid morning strength session followed by a busy work day.
I’m more of a fork and knife type girl. I love the action of eating food. Hence my lifelong passion for all things edible.
Yesterday, I realized that everything I ate the day prior was a hue of yellow. Haha, kind of gross
I know!!!
So, I made up for it with this dreamy, creamy Orange Ginger Greensicle.
Kale, orange with zest, fresh ginger, avocado, coconut oil, water, ice cubes, and a scoop of
Vega Sport Performance Protein completed the “meal”.
Orange Ginger Greensicle Smoothie
(Gluten-Free)
- 2 cups kale, roughly chopped
- 1/2 orange, with peel
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 ice cubes

Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender.

Blend on high until smooth, typically around 30 seconds.

Pour and serve while cold and frothy!
When shopping for ingredients, I try and stick to the 'Clean 15 and the Dirty Dozen' rule when it comes to buying organic fruits and vegetables. I have listed all ingredients simply by name, and have left off words such as "organic", "grass fed", "free-run" etc. I encourage you to do your own research and consume what works best for you.
