TREK Women Who Ride // Cycling Clinic & Food For Fuel Dinner Party

If you own a road bike, can ride a road bike, and just don’t know the next steps to progression, this clinic is for YOU!

This clinic is geared towards the female cyclist who:

  • is at the novice to intermediate level
  • is entering her first bike race or event
  • is looking to train for the upcoming 25 mile Centurion at Blue Mountain or any other relative bike event or distance
  • has a passion for good food and learning more about the benefits of fuelling pre and post ride

LOCATION: Collingwood, Ontario

ITINERARY:

12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

SKILLS FOCUS:

  • Climbing and descending
  • Gearing and cadence
  • Group riding etiquette and paceline practice
  • Cornering
  • Braking

INCLUDES the following:

  • Rider improvement video analysis and individual feedback
  • Knowledge and leadership from 2 NCCP certified cycling coaches
  • 1 to 3 coach to participant ratio (you will not find this anywhere else!)
  • Post ride “Food For Fuel Hands on Dinner Party” with take home recipe booklet
  • FREE SWAG for all participants! (Meagan is an Oakley Ambassador, the swag will be good!)

RIDING DISTANCE:

40km – 60km

CYCLING PREREQUISITES
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO:

  • Ride for 2 hours without significant breaks at an average of 20 km per hour
  • Ride clipless pedals (or are confident with cages)
  • Hold a straight line 2-4 feet behind the cyclist in front of them (a.k.a. drafting)
  • Eat and drink while riding

 

FOOD FOR FUEL HANDS ON DINNER PARTY:

  • Learn what foods to eat before, during and after your ride for maximum fuel and recovery
  • Learn how to incorporate nutrient dense foods into every meal
  • Learn about 10 of our favourite foods, their benefits and how you can incorporate them into your life easily
  • Prepare and enjoy an entire feast of fuelling foods after a day on the bike! (Is there anything better than that?!)
  • Take home Recipe Booklet and other interesting and helpful handouts

NOT INCLUDED:

Drinks and snacks while riding

COST:

$249 per person (taxes included).
50% non-refundable deposit required by Monday July 22, 2013 to hold your spot!
Every participant will require OCA 2013 TREK Store Cycling Club Membership (Approx. $50).
